Social services and other related services in
the city of Pardubice

Within the city of Pardubice there are more than 50 organisations and institutions providing their health-related and social services to the city’s inhabitants. These are services provided in accordance with Act No. 108/2006 Coll., to regulate social services and services not covered within the scope of this Act (i.e. services provided in accordance with other Acts and also services and activities of associations primarily involved in providing services to the benefit of their members – service users association, self-hep groups, etc.).

Most of these organisations either have their head office or a branch office in Pardubice. A number of organisations operating in Pardubice also have their head offices in neighbouring villages, or are supraregional or national organisations.

There are organisations in Pardubice offering their services to the following groups of people:

  • persons with health problems (kids, adolescents, adults, and relatives)
  • foreigners
  • national and ethnic minorities
  • persons in demanding life situations (e.g. homeless, persons in crisis situations or other demanding life situations, victims of domestic violence or other criminal offences)

  • families with children

The city of Pardubice has had its first Community Plan for Development of Social and Related Services approved for the period from 2008 – 2011. The plan defines the direction in which social and related services are developing in our city.
