Medical care is provided in Pardubice by the Pardubice Regional Hospital a.s. (joint-stock company) and the Pardubice Regional Authority (Pardubický kraj) is the 100% owner of its shares. There are also private health facilities in Pardubice – in-patient and out-patient.

Pardubice Regional Hospital

Pardubická krajská nemocnice, a.s. (Pardubice Regional Hospital) celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2007. It is one of the largest healthcare centres in the Pardubice region. Approximately 34,000 patients are hospitalised and treated on 950 beds in 35 wards in the hospital’s 5 clinics each year. A total of approximately 410,000 outpatients are treated each year.

Pardubice regional hospital is also a teaching centre for students of the Faculty of health studies of the University of Pardubice and also participates in the graduate and post-graduate training of doctors.
